Losing a spouse after forty years is not the same problem as losing a parent at thirty. The work does not treat it as if it were.
Healing grief is not forgetting, and nothing here is aimed at getting you to let go of the person. It is about letting the weight set down enough that the love is carryable.
There is no timeline you are expected to be on and no stages you are supposed to move through in order.
