Who I help
Therapy for adults
Adult life has a way of stacking things. Work, family, money, responsibility, and underneath all of it the stuff you never quite got round to dealing with. This practice is built for adults, 18 to 64, anywhere in Florida, who are ready to look at some of that directly.
How it tangles together
Hardly anyone arrives with one neat problem. A loss two years ago that never settled makes a stressful job feel impossible. A frightening experience from your twenties turns into a low hum of anxiety in your forties. Burnout drains the energy you'd need to deal with anything else, and after a while it starts to look like depression.
That's normal. You don't have to pick one concern and stick to it. We can start with whatever is most in your way now, and follow the threads from there. If you want to see the areas I focus on, the specialties page lists them.
The format suits people who want focused work
Sessions are 90 minutes. That's longer than most therapy, and it's deliberate. It leaves room to get to the thing that matters and do real work on it, rather than stopping just as something starts to move. There's a full walk-through of how a 90-minute session works.
Everything happens by secure video, so there's no commute and no waiting room. Weekday sessions start at 7:00 AM Eastern, Monday to Friday, and run until 7:00 PM Monday to Thursday and 5:00 PM on Friday. Weekends are closed.
The style is direct and conversational, often lighter than people expect. You won't be asked to relive the details. No worksheets, no homework stacks.
Adults at different stages
The concerns shift across adult life. In your late teens and twenties it might be the first years on your own, and things from growing up that surface once nobody else is managing the house. There's a page on therapy for young adults.
Later, it might be raising kids while carrying your own history, which I've written about in therapy for parents. And in your fifties and early sixties, aging parents, first big losses and career endings can bring old experiences back to the surface. That's on the page about therapy in midlife.
What the first steps look like
It starts with a free 15-minute consultation. No paperwork, no pressure. You tell me a little about what's going on, ask whatever you want about how I work, and we see whether it seems like a fit.
If it does, you book a 90-minute session. The fee is $225, private pay, and sessions are booked one at a time. There are no packages to buy up front. Intake paperwork is sent to you after booking, and the cancellation policy is on the fees page.
Who it may not suit
If you need your insurance billed, this practice won't fit, since it's private pay only. If you want a steady weekly therapist to lean on over a long stretch, a traditional weekly practice may suit you better. And if you're in crisis right now, you need faster support than a scheduled online practice can give.
I'd rather say that plainly than have you find out halfway through.
If you're in crisis, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline). For emergencies, dial 911.
Questions people ask
No. Plenty of people can only say that something isn't right. The free consultation is where we work out together what you'd like to be different and whether this is a good fit.
Only if you have a genuinely private space where you won't be overheard or interrupted. A shared office or a room with thin walls isn't enough. A closed room with the door shut, or a parked car, can work.
Yes, while you're physically in Florida at the time of each session. Seasonal residents can book sessions for the months they're here.
